Hi everyone and welcome to another Family Law Matters. I’m Dr. Michael Mantell, privileged as always to be joining Bonnie Rabinovitch-Mantel, who is the owner and managing partner of the esteemed Primus Family Law Group. Hi Bonnie.
Hi Michael. Bonnie, I know that in the Primus Family Law Group you offer a free 30-minute consultation to all prospective clients who want to engage Primus Family Law Group, or at least learn more about it. You’re a family-oriented firm, experience meets results, and people are interested.
And I think there’s some confusion about what a free 30-minute consultation includes. So perhaps you can clarify that for us. You know Michael, it’s just unfortunate that people think that when they’re on the phone with you and they give you their facts and position on what’s going on in their case, that any good attorney can give them the next steps of what to do.
I mean, we can always guide and explain the law as to how things should go forward or how things can be done. But to expect that in a consultation we’re going to get legal advice on how to do your next steps, that’s not reasonable. What you should expect is an explanation of the law, possibly, you know, what kind of motion you need to file, whether or not you can do it on your own, or whether or not in the certain circumstances you really do need an attorney.
And I’m sure everybody listening goes, well, you’re always going to say you need an attorney because you want the money. And I’m going to tell you that Primus is different. If we feel that you can do this on your own with the help of what is called the Family Law Facilitator’s Office, where they do provide free legal help, we want to steer you into the best possible scenario.
It’s not about lining our pockets. But in certain circumstances where the issues are complex, or you work full-time and this is not what you do for a living, you know, we’re here to help. And that 30-minute consultation also sees if we jive, right? We have to have a connection.
You have to trust your attorney has your back. And so that’s what you try to find out in those 30 minutes. I imagine that in that 30-minute consultation, much like someone calling and saying, I want to talk to you about getting mental health coaching or assistance, uh, the professional may have as many questions as the potential client.
You know, a lot about the case. So you want to know a lot about what the history is. Um, it’s not necessarily a time to give advice as much as it is to lay the groundwork for the work that needs to be done to give the best advice, right? Absolutely.
Michael, that is very well said. That’s why people sending you documents or things like that. It’s a lot, you know, we want to be able to hear what’s going on, what your goals are, how can we help you reach those goals? Great.
Well, if people do have interest in a free 30-minute consultation, how can they take advantage of that? How can they be in touch with you? Well, you know, it’s both telephone or zoom. So if you want to see who you’re hiring, we completely understand that. And we do offer that as well.
You can reach us directly at 619-574-8000, or you can look us up online and go to www.PrimusFamilyLaw.com. There’s a form you fill out. There’s a live chat agent. We try to make it easy to reach us.
